Cupcake Addiction

The decision is in, and you better get your oven mitts out because this decision may be too hot to handle!

LeBron James will join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Beach and play for the Miami Heat! As a Heat fan, this is definitely the “icing on the cupcake” as I say in my world.

James faced a tough decision. He had six teams vying for his talent, but in the end, Miami presented the best opportunity for him to win a championship – or at least that is what James says.

Going back to a previous post I wrote about the 2010 NBA Free Agency, I discussed the right mix of superstar ingredients. Now, we can find out if these three superstar ingredients will create a dynasty in Miami, or if these three ingredients will have little flavor even when you put them into the same batter.

The ovens are pre-heated, and things are getting ready to Heat Up in the NBA!  I’m ready. Are you?

Everyone knows that every good cupcake relies on the right mix of ingredients, but the star quality ingredients are not the only parts that matter. You have to take into consideration how these ingredients are going to function as a whole. How are they going to work together? Is one ingredient going to overpower the others? How can you get the right balance?

This leads me into my blog for tonight which centers around 2010 NBA free agency.

It is amazing the stories that people have cooked up. Every time I change the channel, the big three ingredients in the mix (LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh) are all going to a different team. As a Miami Heat fan, there is nothing I would love more than to have all three of those guys on my team! However, I wonder how they would play together. They are three big NBA superstars, and there is only one basketball. Only time will tell where these three basketball stars end up. And only time will tell if they do go to the same team, will that team smoke every other team in the NBA? Or, will it wind up being three great ingredients with no chemistry?

Hopefully the Miami Heat will take the cake, or should I say “take the cupcake” on this one! Stay tuned…
